Utica Underground Teen Center 

Location: Utica Parkway Recreation Center 220 Memorial Parkway, Utica

The Underground Teen Center aspires to transform the experiences and perceptions of teens in Utica by creating venues for leadership, civic engagement and creative expression.

Programs and Activities offered include, but not limited to the following:

  • Art classes - jewelry making, knitting, drawing, etc
  • Computer lab – homework help, resume writing, job searches, college preparation and application support, etc.
  • Game Room – foosball, ping pong, pool, video gaming
  • Gymnasium – basketball, soccer, volleyball, etc
  • Health and Wellness – yoga, meditation classes, healthy eating information, leadership skill building
  • Kitchen – cooking and baking classes

We welcome and encourage the teens to give us guidance and ideas to keep the programming interesting, educational, enriching, and relevant to teens needs and interests. We have a Safe Schools office at Proctor High School, JFK Middle School and Donovan Middle School for students to get more information about the Underground Teen Center. The program is free, but teens must enroll and complete paperwork to attend. Contact us for more information.
